Who we are

Watching

Watching the arena needs no account and we store nothing about you. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

When you sign in

Your email address. To send you a sign-in code and to know it is you.
How you signed in. If you use Google, Microsoft, Discord, Twitch, Spotify or LinkedIn, we receive the email address and name that account shares. We never see your password there.
Your character name, and its kills and wins. These are public: everyone watching sees them.
Your plans. Public once you submit them, like every move in the arena.
Problem reports, if you send one: what you wrote, your character name, the page you were on, and your browser and device.
Sign-in technical details, such as your IP address and device, kept with your session to keep your account secure.

We use this only to run the game. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers. We will not send you news by email unless you separately say yes to it.

Your account is a Raccoonbox account, so the same sign-in also works in other Raccoonbox games, such as Save the Dutch. Each game keeps its own game data.

Where it is kept

Appwrite stores accounts and game data, in its Frankfurt data centre in Germany.
Lettermint (the Netherlands) sends the sign-in code emails.
Webbikettu (Finland) hosts this website. Like any web host it keeps short-lived server logs.
On itch.io, the page around the game is itch.io’s, under their privacy policy.

Cookies

One sign-in cookie, or the same thing in your browser’s storage, so you stay signed in. Nothing else, so there is no cookie banner.

How long

As long as you have an account. Delete it and your data goes with it.

Deleting your data

Email hello@raccoonbox.com from the address you signed in with and ask. We delete your account and everything tied to it within 30 days and confirm by email. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, or for anything wrong to be corrected.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman at tietosuoja.fi.
